I am thrilled to endorse Dr. Malia Hite for the Timpanogos School Board. I have collaborated with Dr. Hite on innovative approaches to teacher preparation, including the development of a competency-based apprenticeship program for educators. I can attest to her exceptional ability to think outside the box while focusing on best ways to support students, teachers and schools. I have also worked closely with her on teacher licensing and it is clear she understands the challenges and opportunities in our schools to recruit and retain the best educators for our students. Malia is a truly collaborative leader, possesses a deep understanding of education policy, and consistently demonstrates her talent for building strong relationships and creatively solving complex problems.

Dr. Hite has extensive experience at the state level in transforming educator licensing and nearly three decades in diverse educational roles, from classroom teacher to state executive; this makes her uniquely qualified to help build and lead the Timpanogos School District.
